Dixon Hughes Goodman Announces Nicholas Harrison as Partner

— Harrison to Serve as a Tax Advisory Services Leader for Virginia Businesses —

 

Richmond, VA, October 15, 2014 – Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, announces Nicholas Harrison, MS-Tax, CPA has joined the firm as a Tax Advisory Services Partner.  Harrison will be based in Richmond and will lead the Virginia Tax Advisory Services Practice group. He has over 12 years of professional experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to middle market and large public and private companies across a wide range of industries.

Harrison has extensive experience supporting middle market and Fortune 500 clients with income tax provision review and compliance, nexus reviews, voluntary disclosure agreements, Sarbanes Oxley 404 tax reviews and structural reorganization planning and transaction analysis.  He has assisted market facing investor clients with evaluating target companies’ tax postures as well as the multistate tax ramifications of proposed transaction structures.  Harrison also served as the client lead Tax Services Senior Manager for several publicly held Fortune 500 clients and he provided clients with legislative analysis for Virginia taxation related legislation.

Prior to joining Dixon Hughes Goodman, Harrison was a Senior Manager at KPMG, serving in several leadership capacities on a state and local tax practice team and mergers & acquisitions tax due diligence team.  He is an active member of the VSCPA (Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants), including his current role as chair of the VSCPA’s Tax Advisory Committee,  and is a past recipient of the VSCPA Top 5 Under 35 Award, which recognizes CPA young professionals for notable professional achievements.
