Boar’s Head Welcomes New Director of Hospitality Sales and Marketing

Charlottesville, VA February 16, 2015: Boar’s Head has hired Ann H. Walker as Director of Sales and Marketing. Ms. Walker joins Boar’s Head as Director of Sales & Marketing from Primland, a 12,000 acre private, full-service resort in southwest Virginia. After working in sales leadership positions with two West Virginia resorts: The Greenbrier and Glade Springs Resort & Conference Center, and The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia, she oversaw the opening of Tucker’s Point Hotel & Spa, an upscale luxury resort in Bermuda.

“Ann is a hospitality veteran with over thirty years of experience, the majority of which has been successfully building relationships and increasing revenues generated from Virginia and mid-Atlantic markets,” said Boar’s Head General Manager, Matthew Harris. “Ann’s experience with and affinity for our property, combined with her comprehensive knowledge of the local and regional markets, make her the perfect person to lead our sales and marketing efforts,” added Harris.

Ms. Walker’s business and professional affiliations are extensive: past board member of the Financial & Insurance Conference Planners Association, West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association, Southern West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Leadership West Virginia. Currently, Ann is a member of MPI (Meeting Planners International), VSAE (Virginia Society of Association Executives), AENC (Association Executives of North Carolina) and HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International).
