VA Chamber Members Awarded For Commitment to Hiring Veterans At 2017 Virginia Workforce Conference

 RICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize its members who were awarded with V3 Awards at today’s 2017 Virginia Workforce Conference for their ongoing commitment to creating and increasing employment opportunities for Veterans in Virginia. With nearly 700 in attendance, today’s conference Veterans: Closing The Workforce Gap focused on the need for Virginia businesses to seize opportunities to retain highly-skilled veterans for private sector employment.

Virginia Chamber President and CEO, Barry DuVal, congratulated the companies: “We are pleased to see that so many of our members have been recognized for their commitment to hiring our veterans. As indicated by the nearly 700 attendees at today’s conference, it is clear that business leaders across the commonwealth realize the unique value our veterans can bring to the workforce.”

Governor’s Award: Awarded to companies whose veteran hiring efforts have gone above and beyond, as demonstrated by the total number of annual veteran hires.

Triumph Award: Awarded to the company with the most transformative hiring process.

Breakthrough Award: Awarded to the company with the most innovative veteran employee retention program

Impact Award: Awarded to the company that has the most community impact and advocacy for veteran issues.
