Andrew P. Selman Joins Vandeventer Black’s Richmond Office

Richmond, VA (October 12, 2017)– Vandeventer Black welcomes attorney Andrew P. Selman to its Richmond, Virginia, office where he will focus primarily on litigation matters. Prior to joining Vandeventer Black, Selman served as a law clerk to Judge Julie E. Carnes of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

While pursuing his J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law, Selman worked for the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, volunteered for the Albemarle County Attorney’s Office, and represented clients through UVA’s Appellate Litigation Clinic as a third-year student, arguing before the Eighth Circuit and co-authoring briefs submitted to the Fourth Circuit.

Selman was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review and was heavily involved in moot court as a member of the school’s Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team, as a competitor and student coach on the Extramural Moot Court team, and as a problem author for the school’s intramural William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition.
